The Teal Track & Trail raises funds and awareness in honor of a wonderful Daughter, Sister and Best Friend and everyone else who has fought or is fighting Ovarian Cancer. So won't you help us continue the Teal Track & Trail effort to raise money for all of those families who are living with the reality of Ovarian Cancer. Our goal is to help find a cure so no more families have to go through this again!
Every year more than 20,000 women are diagnosed with Ovarian cancer and over 14000 women lose the battle each year. These women are grandmothers, mothers, daughters, sisters, wives, aunts, nieces, girlfriends and best friends. Everyone knows someone in their social circle that has been directly or indirectly impacted by this deadly disease. It is widely known as the disease that whispers. Due to lack of reliable methods of detection, less than 25% of women with Ovarian cancer are diagnosed at an early stage. Although symptoms are present, many women who are diagnosed with this disease do not realize the symptoms at the early stage. Women that experience the following symptoms for more than a few weeks should definitely see their gynecologist -
Bloating
Pelvic or abdominal pain
Difficulty eating or feeling full quickly
Urinary symptoms (urgency and frequency)
